I am an Industrial Engineer and researcher based in Derby with a strong background in operations management, sustainability and business consulting. I have a PhD in Sustainable Business Operations from the University of Derby and have published papers related to sustainable business operations, implementation of sustainability initiatives and biomass. I am a researcher at the ERDF DE-Carbonise Project, leading the Sustainable Supply Chain cohort.

Professional interests

I am interested in supporting the shift towards a Low Carbon Economy.

Research interests

My research interests include sustainability, Business Process management, manufacturing, Project Management, optimisation, and Information Technology. Bruno is currently working on topics related to Smart Manufacturing, Circular Economy applied to supply chains and innovation applied to SMEs.

I joined SAP in the internship program SAP Brazil 2010, took courses related to various SAP modules, sustainability, Project Implementation methodologies like ASAP 7 and have the TERP1E certification. I also participated in Corporate Sustainability Projects, prepared Technical Proposals and was responsible for the Knowledge Management (KM) of the Regional team (LAC - Latin America & Caribbean).

International experience

I have international practical experience in consulting, taking part in projects of sustainability, process improvement, organisational change, knowledge management, knowledge transfer and IoT (internet of things).

I've had experiences in different types of organisations, such as oil and gas, chemical, automotive, mining, and manufacturing in Brazilian, Mexican and British companies.

As a researcher I've taken part in an Internet of Things (IoT) project held in Nanjing, China, in 2015 and the Workshop UK&MX Sustainable Development - Exploring Energy Efficiency Opportunities through Supply Chain and Operations Innovation held in Aguascalientes, Mexico, in 2016.

Currently, I'm a researcher at the University of Derby Low Carbon Business Network Project, which aims to accelerate the adoption of eco-friendly, low carbon and green products and services in key supply chains across the D2N2 region.
