About

I am the Subject Lead for Business and Management and an Associate Professor in Learning and Teaching. This means I teach and research but also work to develop my discipline area and the academics working within it.   

My main areas of academic interest are Change Management and Higher Education Pedagogies.  

I have also worked as an External Examiner at several universities including Nottingham Trent, Aston University and the University of Plymouth.

Experience in industry

I have worked as an external expert for several Higher Education Institutions, including:

• Regular judge for the Emerald/HETL Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards 
• External expert with the Open University for Hull College Group (BA Hons Business and Management)
• External Advisor for the University of Plymouth (IUG partnership approval, Switzerland)

In the media

• Presented at TedX, LFHE Regional Change Network, Staffordshire University in 2018 with a talk entitled: I am a Change Leader, honest!
• Developed and led a Webinar with MILE (Saudi Arabia) in 2017 which discussed improving employee engagement and participation

International experience

I have worked in a variety of countries including the USA, Denmark, Kazhakstan, Malaysia, Sweden, and France. The purpose of the trips varied from acting as a 'link tutor', quality management lead, troubleshooting, or developing international contacts.

Teaching responsibilities

I have taught and supervised at every level in Higher Education, including the delivery of several courses with collaborative partners.
