About

I am a physicist and engineer strongly committed to trans-disciplinary teaching and research. To date I have held academic positions in a number of countries including New Zealand, Sweden, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates. I have published teaching resources and research books with Springer-Verlag, John Wiley & Sons, Cengage and Macmillan. I am an Accreditation Inspector for the British Computer Society (BCS), and for the British Accreditation Council (BAC).

Research interests

My main area of research concerns the theory, modelling, implementation and evaluation of innovative autostereoscopic display technologies. Other areas of research include the human visual system, haptic interaction and innovative interaction interfaces, blended learning, and the history of maths and of technology. All of these areas have a strong transdisciplinary flavour.
