I am a hepatic toxicologist with a strong background in Immunology. I completed my PhD in Toxicology from Heriot Watt University (2013). Since then I have been predominately involved in research and teaching in the fields of (hepatic) toxicology, nanotoxicology and nanomedicine in both academic and industrial settings including employment at the University of Copenhagen, Heriot Watt University, The French Institute of Health and Medical Research and Unilever.

Teaching responsibilities

I teach across many modules across the Biomedical Science, Human Biology and Forensic Science programmes. I am also the module lead for Level Four (first year) Chemistry of Life.

My main areas of research can be divided into three broad categories:

I have industrial experience of being employed at Unilver and have very close ties and active research with a number of industrial partners including InSphero (Switzerland) and BioTechne (USA).
