About this module 

The module involves attendance at a five day summer school, which will include demonstration and participation in many aspects of practical hand therapy. This will include:

Attendance will be supported by a distance learning package. Students will be actively encouraged to support their learning by observing, participating and undertaking a wide range of clinical activities pertinent to the module content.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this course you should be able to:

  1. Develop knowledge and practical skills in various aspects of practical hand therapy.
  2. Demonstrate clinical reasoning for a variety of treatment techniques/interventions used in the specialist clinical field of hand therapy.
  3. Critically evaluate the effectiveness of a practical hand therapy intervention.

If this is an LBR (Learning Beyond Registration) course and you are eligible for LBR funding, the cost is funded by HEEM (Health Education East Midlands) - check the list of LBR courses.

If you are funding your own study, the full cost of this module is £700.
