Derby Impact, Collaboration and Engagement Network

The Derby Impact, Collaboration and Engagement (DICE) Network is based in the University’s Research and Knowledge Exchange Office and is about bringing together the benefits of our research to users, communities and partner groups. The network creates dialogues that seek to tackle real-world challenges which are achieved collaboratively through a supportive culture.

The network links academics, external partners and the public to encourage collaborative practice, knowledge exchange, public engagement, policy work and evaluation to deliver impact. To support these areas further, the network provides training and a space for participants to connect and share solutions. In addition, DICE collaborates with civic, commercial and Higher Education partners who are interested in undertaking or supporting public engagement exchange and impact activities.

Managed by the Impact Officer team who are academic researchers, DICE has shared its expertise in impact, collaboration, and engagement with a range of HEIs (Higher Education Institutions), funders and external organisations. A few of these include: The British Academy, Derby City Council, Innovate UK, Imperial War Museums, Leicester Comedy Festival, the Office for National Statistics, and the University of Sapienza, Rome.
