11 September 2018

The University of Derby has scooped the Best Customer Service Award in the prestigious National Student Housing Survey 2018.

The annual survey, conducted by independent market research agency Red Brick Research, is based on a comprehensive look at all aspects of the student accommodation experience.

This year, the survey attracted more than 32,000 responses from over 200 universities and colleges across the UK.

The University of Derby was also nominated for the Best Booking Experience Award and Best Environmental Management Award, while gaining a quality mark of recognition for its accommodation for international students for the second-year running.

Steve Ward, Customer Services Manager at Derby Student Residences Limited (DSRL), said: “This is a fantastic achievement for the University of Derby and for DSRL.

“Winning the Best Customer Service Award demonstrates our students receive an excellent service and it is great that all our staff and halls of residence teams have received recognition for the outstanding work they do.

“The National Student Housing Survey is important as it provides us with valuable feedback about how students feel about the service they receive. We are pleased that we have seen year-on-year improvements in our results, showing our commitment to providing excellent customer service to our students.”

The University of Derby’s newest accommodation, Agard Court, will open its doors to students for the first time this month.
