National Apprenticeship Week 2020

Royal Mail apprentice with employer

What is National Apprenticeship Week?

The 13th annual National Apprenticeship Week, which will run from Monday 3 to Friday 7 February 2020 is a great opportunity to highlight the fantastic opportunities that an apprenticeship brings to employers, individuals and the economy.

At the University of Derby, we are proud to be pioneering apprenticeships, designed in conjunction with employers to embed new skills and grow talent in the workplace.

We work with a number of high profile businesses including Rolls Royce, JCB, the NHS and the Institute of Quarrying to develop the workforce and to shape the future of their organisations.

NAW 2020 Events

Wednesday 5 February

This year we will be hosting a careers event which will support students in considering their options following sixth form or college.

Students can discover the range of options on the apprenticeship route with industry representatives on hand to answer any questions.

We will be inviting some of the region’s most influential employers to discuss their apprenticeship opportunities and answer any questions the students may have in an informal environment.

If you are an employer who wishes to attend the event please email Elivia Frixou e.frixou@derby.ac.uk for more information.
