As Chief Performance, Strategy, and Operations Officer I am Executive lead for Marketing & Communications; International; Strategic Insights & Planning; Digital Solutions & Services; and Estates.

I was architect of the University's Strategic Framework and led the initial phase of our Cultural Transformation programme, helping ensure the University is best placed to achieve its ambitions through to 2030.

Membership of professional bodies

I am a member of HESPA - the Higher Education Strategic Planners Association.

Experience in industry

Prior to joining the University of Derby in 2012, the bulk of my career has been spent in sport communications – firstly working my way up to Head of Communications at UK Sport before taking on the equivalent role at British Cycling.

Additional interests and activities

I enjoy active pursuits, mostly cycling and running. Football has always been a passion, watching rather than playing these days, as an avid supporter of Liverpool FC.
