About

I work at the University as a Learning Technologist with a focus on curriculum development and digital practice. I work on strategic projects which focus on learning and teaching at the University, helping to provide advice and guidance on how technology can help to enhance these practices.

I also work with academic staff to develop their digital practices and digital capabilities, which in turn enables them to enhance the curriculum to include engaging learning activities for their students. I currently work with the College of Health and Social Care, helping to see how technology can support reflective practice, simulated practice and active learning. I have a particular interest in virtual and augmented reality, embedding digital capabilities, ePortfolios and inclusive approaches with technology.

Teaching responsibilities

I am an active member within the TEL community where I currently co-chair an ALT Regional Interests Group for the East Midlands (East Midlands Learning Technologists / EMLT) where I organise and run face-to-face events helping to share practice with TEL in the East Midlands. I am also an active member of the UCISA (Universities and Colleges Information Systems Association) Digital Education Group where I have led on the running of a successful national event on lecture capture and contributed to the analysis and publication of the national UCISA TEL Survey 2018.
