I hold a bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Cagliari (Italy) in 2013. I subsequently worked as a deputy director in a company that works in the safety sector for three years before returning to theuUniversity to pursue a masters degree in Engineering of Telecommunications where I had the opportunity to do an internship at the Data Science Research Centre at the University of Derby.

Currently, I am a PhD student at the University of Derby and my research topics are urban informatics, Smart Cities and Internet of Things technologies. More precisely, I am developing artificial intelligence and data science techniques for urban data analysis and for the development of innovative solutions in these contexts. The main question is:

Answering this question and developing algorithms to gain a deep understanding of human interaction with cities is a complex task, but it remains one of the hottest topics in cities' development nowadays. This and the useful tools development for urban planning and the improvement of city services are the main goals of my research work.

Thesis title
