Staff profile

Dr Ambrose Ambrose Yuk Kong Lee

Research Development Fellow (REF)

Kedleston Road, Derby Campus

I am one of the two Research Development Fellows based in Research, Innovation and Academic Enterprise. My main role is to support the REF developments of the University and contributing to the wider development of research communities within the University and beyond. I also conduct independent research within my areas of expertise (please see below for details).

Professional interests

Prior to joining University of Derby, I was a Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellow in the Centre for Criminology at University of Oxford. As part of this fellowship, I pursued a research project about the normative constraints that apply to the state’s use of coercion to prevent harms. I have also previously worked as a Postdoctoral Research Officer for the AHRC-funded Preventive Justice Project (also based in Criminology at Oxford), and as an Administrative Assistant for the AHRC-funded Criminalization Project (based in University of Stirling). I have also briefly worked as a Lecturer in Metaethics at University of Stirling after obtaining my doctorate there.

Professionally, I have a keen interest in research and REF developments, and the preparation of research proposals.
