I am a Lecturer in Social Work and a Registered Social Worker. I qualified as a Social Worker in 2004 at Nottingham University, I then worked as a Statutory Social Worker in Adult Social Care until 2013 when I took up a post at the University of Cumbria as a Social Work Lecturer, and then as Social Work Placement Lead. I joined the University of Derby in August 2020.

Teaching responsibilities

I teach on both the BA and MA Social Work programmes at Derby University, and module lead on Practice Learning 1 for both programmes, a Mental Health module for the BA Social Work, and Preparation for Practice on the MA programme.
