The steps you need to take to make your formal application to UCAS will depend on your current application status. Below are the different routes and steps you need to take.

Don’t forget you will need the details of the course offer made to you to hand.

If you are unsure which route to follow, please contact us on +44 (0)1332 592023, drop us an email at study@derby.ac.uk or use the chat to one of our team using The Ambassador Platform and we will be happy to help.

I have not applied to UCAS this year

You can still apply but this will be through UCAS Clearing.

To apply through Clearing you will still need to make an application to us through UCAS, but the process for adding a choice will differ slightly. Full details and guidance can be found on the UCAS Clearing page.

I have an application with UCAS but have not yet chosen my firm or insurance choice

You need to carefully consider all the options and offers you currently have before making a final decision. If you wish to take up our offer of a place, you will need to decline all outstanding offers that have been made to you in UCAS.

If you have not yet applied to us but would like to, you can still do this through UCAS Clearing. Log into UCAS and decline all your offers. This will then make you eligible for Clearing and you should have the option to add your Clearing choice.

I am currently holding a firm place with another university, but I would like to take up the Clearing offer made to me by Derby

If you have considered all your options, and you decide you wish to take up the offer we have made to you, please get in touch with us on +44 (0)1332 591167 and we will work with you and UCAS on the steps required to change your application to Derby.

I am not holding any offers – am I eligible for Clearing?

UCAS Clearing opened on 5 July. Providing you are eligible for Clearing, you will be able to log in to UCAS and add your Clearing choice. Full details and guidance on how to add your Clearing choice can be found on the UCAS Clearing page.
