If you want to explore the critical importance of commercial management of IT and the strategic importance that business analytics has within organisations to propose and instigate IT based solutions alongside strong marketing, this is the course for you. 

On this course, you can combine your interests in marketing and business technology to develop skills which will enable you to forge a career in areas like management of big data, marketing insights, business analysis or consultancy. You'll gain broad knowledge of current and future business technologies, including different types of databases, decision-making systems and e-commerce. You’ll also critically evaluate the commercial management of IT and explore the strategic importance of business analytics.  You’ll develop the ability to use this knowledge to inform strategic decisions and to evaluate and propose IT-related solutions to marketing problems.

Additional information about your studies

Teaching hours

Like most universities, we operate extended teaching hours at the University of Derby, so contact time with your lecturers and tutors could be anytime between 9am and 9pm. Your timetable will usually be available on the website 24 hours after enrolment on to your course.
