Charley Webster-Clarke, BEng (Hons) Motorsport Engineering:

"I completely changed my career path and it was the best decision I could have made. I started working in accounting but my heart was never in it - what I really wanted to do was to work with cars. I was looking for a foot into the door of the motorsport industry."

"I came across the Motorsport Engineering degree at Derby and it was just perfect for me. It was close to home and the course covered everything that I wanted. The course has been spot on - I've been given opportunities that I really don't believe I'd have got anywhere else."

"I've been the team manager for the Radical SR1 cup and I've also worked for a race team called EXCELR8 as a number two technician, working all season on EXCELR8's championship-winning car was an amazing feeling. Everyone at Derby from the technicians to lecturers have all gone out of their way to help us - they've always been supportive on both an academic and a personal level and they're always available to listen and offer advice."
