You’ll be based at One Friar Gate Square in Derby, a modern building in the city centre. You’ll study alongside students on our law, criminology and policing courses, giving you unique opportunities to share knowledge, expertise and experience.

Specialist facilities at One Friar Gate Square include our replica crown court, student legal advice centre and mock custody suite, plus well-resourced lecture theatres, seminar rooms and social learning spaces.

Global perspectives are an integral part of all our social sciences courses. Recognising the importance of how other countries approach social and political issues, we offer each student the opportunity to go on an international study trip within their course. Previous trips include visits to The Hague, Geneva and Berlin.
