Architecture and the Built Environment at the University of Derby video transcript

Civil engineering and construction students use the workshops at Markeaton Street for structural and geotechnics testing and have access to surveying equipment including robotic laser scanners. Practical experience is also gained whilst working on live projects and on regular field trips. Our architectural students use laser cutting and rapid prototyping in the workshops to construct models and carry out different tests on materials. In our architectural studio students work on and develop their design drawings using digital technology, their learning experience is enhanced with regular study trips within the UK and abroad. Why not come down to one of our open days where you can speak to a student ambassador or a program leader about the course that you're interested in and see for yourself our facilities at Markeaton Street and Kedleston Road.
