If you'd like to get the new year off to a great start, look no further.
Here at the University of Derby, we have a range of full-time and part-time undergraduate courses staring in January.
Whether you're looking to start a foundation degree in Business or a bachelors degree in Motorsport Engineering, you'll study the same course content and be taught by the same expert academics as if you had started your course at any other time of year.
Many of our courses that start in January can also be studied part-time, providing you with the opportunity to broaden your skills and knowledge in a way that works for you.

Our Open Days are a great way of getting a feel for what it will be like to be a student here at the University of Derby. We hold regular undergraduate Open Days throughout the year, with our Open Days between October and December offering a great way to find out if studying at Derby in January is right for you.

We may be able to offer accommodation to students beginning their study in January and our Student Living team can also arrange accommodation in University-approved private accommodation.

Fees and finance
Our fees remain the same throughout the academic year, so you will pay the same as if you started your course in September, at the start of the academic year. Find out more about fees and finance

January Welcome Week
There’s no need to worry that you’ve missed out on our September Welcome Week as we have our own January Welcome Week from 22-28 January 2018!
There will be plenty of opportunities to get involved with everything from sports and societies to icebreaker events and enrolment.
Alongside Welcome Week, there’s a range of activities specifically for international students organised by our International Student Centre, tailored to help you settle in, make friends and prepare for living and studying in the UK.
January enrolment and induction
You’ll usually enrol for your course online. Don’t worry if you’re not sure about anything or don’t know what modules you want to study, as we’ll be here to advise and support you.
When you’ve enrolled you’ll get your student ID card and you'll be able to use our facilities and services, as well as receive your student loan.
During your induction you’ll receive lots of information about your course and you'll get the chance to meet your lecturers, discuss module choices and meet other students on your course.
