Buxton and Leek College bursary

Buxton and Leek College students choosing to continue their studies by moving into higher education at the University of Derby will receive a £1,000 financial boost.

Eligible students will receive £1,000 (£900 as a cash award plus a £100 study resource card for Blackwell’s Bookshop).

You will receive the maintenance (cash) element of your bursary in three instalments (you can use the money to reduce any of your expenses associated with studying).

You will receive your £100 Blackwell’s card as part of your first instalment. Details on how to collect your card will be included in your bursary award email.

How do I apply?

The bursary is available to students who have achieved a qualification from Buxton and Leek College in the last three years and are progressing to full-time undergraduate study, paying a tuition fee of £9,250 (in the academic year 2023) at the University of Derby in Derby, Buxton or Chesterfield.

You do not need to make an application for the Buxton and Leek College Bursary. Entitlement is assessed automatically.
