Get Ahead (Derby Campus)

Date and time
Thursday, 17 September 2020 09.15 -
Friday, 18 September 2020 16.00

At this time, the health and wellbeing of our staff, students and visitors is our primary concern. Our upcoming on-site events are still going ahead but we will be hosting these as virtual events. If they need to be postponed, we will look to reschedule and once new dates have been confirmed they will be listed on this page. For any enquiries please contact us by email. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

The Get Ahead event for disabled students provides new students with the opportunity to become familiar with the University during a quieter period and begin to prepare for successfully managing their transition to university. Get Ahead is a free event and is open to any student with a disability.

Students who have attended the event tell us that they have learned to find their way around the University, have learned about effective strategies to support their student life and have been able to set themselves up for success in a way that suits them.

The event runs over two days, starting at 9.15am on Thursday 17 September.
