About

I am a PhD research student in the School of Nursing and Midwifery within the College of Health, Psychology and Social Care. 
I am completing a funded full-time Doctor of Philosophy, researching the impact of armed conflict on the role and contribution of nurses in Ukraine.

I have a Bachelor of Arts Honours in English and Philosophy and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Mental Health). I am an NMC registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) and have experience working across the spectrum of the life span in a variety of mental health settings, including Dementia, Substance Difficulty, multi-disadvantage and community mental health. My specialist area of interest is Traumatic Stress with substance difficulties and mental health.

I have a PGCE Secondary specialising in English with Drama and experience working with young adults with social, emotional, mental health and learning difficulties.

I have served as a Student Ambassador at the University of Derby for over 3 years and served two terms as an Apprenticeship Mental Health Nursing Student Representative.
