Experience in industry

I have 30 years' experience as a police officer in Nottinghamshire Police, the latter half as a Chief Inspector. I have experience in both uniform and CID, plus areas such as traffic and firearms.

As a Chief Inspector I have had responsibility for control room operations, operational and emergency planning, roads policing, firearms and dogs, Nottingham City Centre and Citizens in Policing (Special Constabulary, Caadets and Volunteers). I also led on mental health and wellbeing for the organisation both internally and externally.

I am an experienced tactical firearms commander and have been the Force lead for both Post Incident Management (PIM) and Trauma Risk Management (TRiM).

I have led several projects, including the introduction of Body Work Video cameras into Nottinghamshire, and also worked as part of a regional team to introduce this.

Additional interests and activities

I have a keen interest in professional coaching and development of people in leadership roles, presentation and interview skills.
