Dr Shao Ying (Peggy) Zhu is a Senior Lecturer in Computing at the Department of Electronics,Computing and Mathematics in the College of Engineering and Technology at the University of Derby, UK. She is the programme leader for MSc Advanced Computer Networks and BSc (Hons) Computer Networks and Security. She is also the Cisco Legal Main Contact for the Cisco Networking Academy at the University of Derby. Her teaching and research are mainly on the subject areas of computer networks and security. Currently, she teaches Advanced Network Switching, Advanced Network Routing, Securing Networks, Wide Area Networks and Network Routing and Switching, Ethical Hacking and Networking fundamentals. She has published numerous conference and journal papers and edited several books on a range of research areas including  networking, cybersecurity and image processing.
