About

PhD Research Student at the University of Derby, focusing on railway dynamics and vibration-based modelling.

Teaching responsibilities

Currently working as a Graduate Assistant, supporting the delivery of undergraduate modules and providing academic support to students.

Professional interests

My research interests lie in vibration-based modelling, with a focus on wheel-rail interaction, railway dynamics, and Digital Twin applications for predictive maintenance. My work also draws on a background in materials science and condensed matter physics, including first-principles investigations of the electronic and elastic properties of metallic alloys.

This interdisciplinary perspective supports a deeper understanding of material behaviour and its influence on wheel-rail contact mechanics. I am interested in contributing to advancements in railway engineering through collaboration with industry, while also supporting teaching and learning at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Research interests

Materials Science, Nonlinear Dynamics, Vibration Systems, Railway Dynamics and Contact Mechanics

Membership of professional bodies

1. Railway Engineering Institution (RailEI), formerly known as the Permanent Way Institution (PWI).

2. Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)

Qualifications

PhD (in progress), Electrical and Electronics Engineering, University of Derby, United Kingdom.

MSc in Solid State Physics, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria.

BSc in Physics with Electronics, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria.
