About

I am currently a lecturer in Health and Social Care and undertake a variety of roles teaching on the online Nursing Studies (top-up) degree and the Certificate of Credit - Professional Development in Health and Social Care. I also collaborate on research projects and support registered midwives/nurses undertaking postgraduate degrees. Working with other students and colleagues to research multifactorial issues that impact midwifery/nursing has been very rewarding.

My healthcare career began with my diploma in Nursing (RN) from the College of Nursing and Midwifery, Gwagwalada, Abuja, in 2007 and a BSc Nursing with Registered Midwife (RM) in 2014 from the University of Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria.

In 2016, I gained a 50% Developing Solutions Scholarship at the University of Nottingham to complete my MSc in Maternal and Newborn Health. Following this, I completed a doctorate in Midwifery Research from King's College London in 2023.

I have worked clinically in the NHS, government, and private settings in primary and tertiary care to include urology and gynaecology units, maternity and labour wards.
