About

I am the Technician supporting all of the online Psychology programmes at the University, specialising in the use and support of Qualtrics, Inquisit, PsychoPy and our Psychology Research Participation Scheme. I co-manage the Psychology Test Bank of tests, experiments, measures, scales and questionnaires.

Additionally, I also assist with SPSS, G*Power and Nvivo installation and licensing issues, and I can advise and assist with IT, MS Teams and Blackboard queries.

I am Derby born and bred, and I studied History with the University of Derby, graduating in 1998. Since 2004 I have been employed by the University, firstly in the Art and Design library, then latterly with IT Services, working on the student-facing help desk at the main campus and at the Markeaton Street campus. I joined Online Psychology as their specialist Technician in September 2015.

Additional interests and activities

I am very interested in British social history pre-1945, with a particular focus on the First World War and the experiences of the soldiers who fought in the conflict. I am a member of the Western Front Association and co-founder of the Derby and Derbyshire War Memorials Project (founded in 2004), and our aim is to photograph, record and research war memorials throughout the county.
