About

I am the Programme Lead for MSc Medical Ultrasound here at the University of Derby, alongside being the lead for Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy Ultrasound. I teach across the breadth of the programme, including within General Medical Ultrasound, Principles of Medical Ultrasound, Fertility and Small Parts imaging of the testes and thyroid.

Teaching responsibilities

I teach across the breadth of the MSc Medical Ultrasound programme. I am also a supervisor for several students across each cohort undertaking their own MSc projects, and I continue to practice clinically across the speciality.

Professional interests

My specialist interest lies within Obstetrics, particularly within early pregnancy, in which I have completed my Masters. I have an active interest in obstetric research - my PhD is underway, and is considering the potential predictive value of specific ultrasound features of sub-chorionic haemorrhage as reliable indicators of adverse pregnancy outcome.

Research interests

Alongside my PhD, I am actively involved in several research projects across the programme, alongside exploring the aetiology of sub-chorionic haemorrhages. I have presented several projects at conference level.
