About

I am a Senior Lecturer in Strategic Management at the Derby Business School and handle the MBA block delivery. I am actively involved in international engagement with a key focus on the Indian market, exploring academic and research development avenues with reputed institutions abroad.

I am also a member of the Business, Law and Social Sciences (BLSS) College Research Committee and member of the Entrepreneurial and Small Business Marketing SIG Steering committee at the Academy of Marketing.

In terms of research, I actively publish within the domain of entrepreneurship, ethnic-entrepreneurship, family business strategy, effectuation theory and entrepreneurial marketing. I also supervise PhD and DBA within the area of strategy, international business and entrepreneurship.

In terms of teaching, I endeavor to embed industry issues within the teaching curriculum and collaborate with local/national businesses to develop an 'applied' and transformative learning approach that emphasises on reflection, peer-dialogue and application.

I am passionate about helping students develop strong and critical opinions that are well-informed, and enhance perceptions that look beyond a narrow business view of economic growth and place equal emphasis on ecological sustainability and community development.
