About

I am a Senior Lecturer within the Associate Healthcare Practice and Nursing Apprenticeships Discipline team and teach on the foundation degree for Nursing associates and assistant practitioners. I am a registered nurse with 30 years' experience.

Since qualifying in 1990 my main clinical area of focus has been Nephrology Nursing, particularly Haemodialysis and Anaemia Management. More recently I have worked in IT and corporate nursing at the Nottingham University Hospital NHS trust.

I moved to work at the University of Derby in May 2017.

Teaching responsibilities

I teach throughout the foundation degree programme and am Module Leader for the Personal and Professional Develoment Modules (4NU521 and 4NU518).
