About

I am a writer, teacher and creative. I am the founder of Derbyshire Writing School, where I teach creative and professional writing and provide coaching, as well as writing freelance content for corporate clients. I run retreats and writing events across Derbyshire. At the University of Derby, I am a Creative Writing lecturer.

Teaching responsibilities

For the academic year 2021-22, I was the Programme Leader for the MA Creative Writing.

I now teach on a sessional basis. 

My expertise is non-fiction writing, employability and ghost writing.

Experience in industry

As the founder of Derbyshire Writing School, I also host a writing podcast called Begin. I work as a freelance writer and content creator, as well as teaching within Adult Education and Further Education. My background is event and project management and I worked within business development roles.
