About

I am currently completing a Professional Doctorate at the University of Derby, where my research explores the values and beliefs of health coaches working within the NHS. Alongside my doctoral studies, I hold a BSc in Sports Science, an MSc in Sports Science (Sport and Exercise Psychology), a PGCE, and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

My professional experience spans education and the NHS. At Derby University, I have taught across Level 4 Sport and Exercise Science and Level 5 Lifestyle and Behaviour Change, supporting students to think critically, apply theory, and connect their learning to professional practice. Within the NHS, I have worked as a Health and Wellbeing Coach Manager and Workforce Development Lead, overseeing coaching provision, delivering supervision, and driving workforce development across Primary Care Networks.

I have also spoken at Best Practice Birmingham at the NEC, presenting on health coaching to nationwide industry-leading, clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals.

In addition to my healthcare roles, I also teach Physical Education within schools, drawing on my background in sports science and teacher training to inspire young people to engage with physical activity and wellbeing.
