About

I am a Film Production alumnus turned Technical Advisor and award-winning filmmaker. My job includes supporting the Media Loan Hub, Radio Rooms, Editing Suites, TV Studio, Rehearsal Rooms, Recording Studios as well as supporting and leading teaching sessions. I also help look after the Media Loan Hub Twitter account to pass on information to students about equipment and opening times.

I am proficient in using Premier Pro and also I am the sole Technician that supports using the 16mm Bolex Cameras. I run inductions with students on the Bolex film cameras towards the end of their degree and some students have taken to this form of media and are even developing their own film in the photography department.

I have won film editing competitions and continue to make films myself. I ran a very successful indoor film competition over the last year during the Covid-19 lockdown which was enjoyed by both past and present university of Derby students.

Qualifications

I have a Degree in Film Production and a BTEC in Media Studies.
