About

I am a curious individual with a passion for artificial intelligence, particularly machine learning. My academic journey began with a BSc in Civil Engineering, followed by a Master’s degree in Business Analytics, which fueled my interest in data engineering and machine learning, and their applications in creating impactful solutions. Now, as a PhD student at the University of Derby, I’m expanding these interests into optimising energy harvesting devices in rail networks.

Beyond academics, I’m a hands-on learner who enjoys building things from the ground up. Whether it’s working on predictive models or developing structured learning programs, I find satisfaction in experimentation and iteration. Outside of my PhD, I play the piano rather well. In my free time, I teach gospel, jazz, blues, and neo-soul piano to people interested in learning. I really love playing the piano, as I have been doing so since I was eight years old.

Ultimately, I find myself sitting at the intersection of vibration engineering, data science, and machine learning, where I explore innovative ways to solve real-world problems. With my research, I aim to address the issue of wasted energy from trains by developing AI solutions that can intelligently capture and repurpose this energy, contributing to more sustainable and efficient transport systems.
