About

I am the University’s Head of Digital Learning. This means I work across the University in partnership with staff and students to embed and support the development of digital learning.

I lead and develop University-wide strategies and policies that ensure students have the highest quality digital-learning experience while studying with us.

Currently, I am leading the implementation of an ambitious new institutional Technology-Enhanced Learning Strategy (2017-2021) to deliver excellence across four key areas: Digital Practice, Digital Capability, Digital Infrastructure, and a Data and Research-informed approach.  

Teaching responsibilities

I have experience of teaching on the subject of digital learning, including 'effective online learning' and 'learning in a digital age'.

Research interests

I am interested in all aspects of pedagogy especially around the topics of learning technology, digital learning, blended learning and educational policy.

Recent conferences

My recent conference presentations have included a keynote on preparing staff and students to be digitally ready.

I have recently presented at a number of Jisc events and co-presented with Jisc colleagues on the theme of digital capbility development.

International experience

I have experience of working with International Collaborative partners to establish digital learning provision.
