About

I am a part time Senior Lecturer.

I teach on the programmes in the subject area of Occupational Therapy and Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I also have supervised a PhD student and currently supervise EdD and Professional Doctorate students.

I have now had a number of students who have successfully completed within the Health and Social Care fields.

Teaching responsibilities

I am involved in a number of modules within the Occupational Therapy subject area although my main focus now is with the teaching of the students on the professional doctorate in Health and Social Care.

 

Professional interests

I am interested in all aspects of Occupational Therapy education particularly postgraduate education. I am also interested in the areas of Health and Social Care and have supervised a number of students who work in a variety of education and care settings.

I worked for 14 years in a Social Services setting and for a number years managed the staff team and budget.

Research interests

My thesis was around recruitment and fitness for practice for Occupational Therapy students.
