About

I am the Programme Leader for the MSc in Medical Ultrasound and Senior Lecturer in Diagnostic Imaging.

My main focuses within the ultrasound field are obstetrics, early pregnancy and gynaecology.

Teaching responsibilities

I am involved in teaching across all of the clinical ultrasound modules.

Professional interests

I have particular interests in Obstetric ultrasound, specifically around fetal abnormalities and placental variants.

Recent conferences

I presented the findings of my literature review at the British Medical Ultrasound ASM in 2016 and have presented at recent British Medical Ultrasound ASM with both poster and oral presentations.

I presented at the Research Showcase Event held by the Department of Health Care Practice in July 2017

Experience in industry

I have worked within the NHS for 15 years. Whilst working at the University of Derby, I also maintain my clinical skills working as a sonographer. This enables me to remain up to date and provides currency to my teaching.
