About

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Creative and Cultural Industries Research Centre, where I contribute to ongoing research projects and undertake initiatives to develop innovative ideas and methodologies regarding the capture of public engagement and impact.

Research interests

I am a researcher in the media and creative industries, focusing on gendered, (post-)colonial, and diasporic media and memory, and their entanglements within the wider media ecology. I am very interested in archival, online, and creative methods, and I care about public engagement and the impact my research and teaching have on wider society.

I am currently working on the following projects:

"She Was There: Remembering and Reimagining Muslim British Bangladeshi Women in 1970s Anti-Racist Struggles" in collaboration with Tower Hamlets Council (ECR Development Funding, £2000).

"The Cultural Memory of Mis- and Disinformation: Remembering the 2022 Leicester Unrest" (BA/Leverhulme Small Research Grant 2025-26 Round, £8,878.57)
