About

I am an experienced and practical-focused academic with over 10 years of hands‑on expertise working for some of the most prominent organisations in the industrial procurement and service delivery sector. My career has involved delivering high‑value services, operational solutions, and commercial improvements to leading UK manufacturing firms as well as international partners. This strong industry background allows me to provide students with a genuine real‑world perspective, connecting academic theory to what truly happens within modern industrial environments.

I am passionate about developing curious, independent learners. I do not just teach information - I encourage students to explore, question, and understand how to learn rather than simply remember what they have been told. My goal is to help students build confidence, resilience, and the ability to adapt in a fast‑changing industrial landscape.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that every student possesses unique strengths and potential. My role is to create a supportive environment where they can discover and develop these abilities, challenge themselves, and engage with diverse perspectives. With curiosity, consistent effort, and a willingness to grow, I believe students can achieve far more than they initially imagine.

Professional interests

Research interests

My research centres on understanding how Relationship Marketing operates within Co‑located, engineering‑based service encounters - particularly the roles of trust, value co‑creation, and digitalisation in shaping buyer-seller relationship dynamics, while also extending into related areas such as B2B Service Marketing, Industrial Procurement, Organisational Strategy, and Industry 5.0

Qualifications

Experience in industry

I bring extensive hands‑on industry experience from more than a decade working with market‑leading organisations in the industrial procurement and engineering services sector. I have held operational and service‑delivery roles at industry leaders such as IESA, ERIKS, Rubix-group and Hayley-group, supporting some of the most recognisable names in UK and international manufacturing. Over the course of my career, I have delivered on‑site solutions, procurement innovations and value‑creation initiatives for major organisations including Rolls‑Royce, Airbus, Tarmac, Carlsberg, Hovis, and United Biscuits, among others. These roles have provided me with a deep understanding of Co‑located service delivery, engineering‑based procurement environments, and the relational dynamics that underpin high‑performance buyer-supplier partnerships. This industry background underpins my teaching and research practice, ensuring students benefit from authentic, real‑world insights grounded in contemporary industrial challenges and opportunities.

International experience

I have gained significant international experience throughout my industry career, regularly travelling between the UK, Ireland and Germany to, deliver on‑site procurement solutions and work directly with diverse customer teams across Europe. This cross‑border work exposed me to a wide range of operational cultures, relationship dynamics and engineering service environments, strengthening my understanding of how Co‑located service models operate internationally. Alongside my industry roles, I also contribute to international academic development by supervising undergraduate dissertations at the University of Latvia, supporting students in developing rigorous, practice‑oriented research. This blend of international industrial engagement and academic collaboration enables me to offer students a truly global perspective on service delivery, relationship marketing and industrial procurement practices.

Additional interests and activities

I am a passionate supporter of the arts and an enthusiastic musician, with a long‑standing love for classical music and experience playing the French horn. I also enjoy staying active and disciplined through regular martial arts training, which has been an important part of my life for many years. When I'm not working or studying, I enjoy travelling, exploring new places, and spending time outdoors with my family. These interests help me maintain a balanced lifestyle and continually broaden my perspective both personally and professionally.
