About

I am currently a lecturer in the College of Health and Humanities at the University of Derby, United Kingdom. My role includes teaching across the college and conducting research. I lead several modules at various levels across the college, including: Global Health (Level 7), Public Health (Level 7), Research for Health and Wellbeing (Level 4), Anatomy and Physiology (Level 3), Communications Skills in Healthcare (Level 3) and Public Health Principles (Level 3).

Before joining the University, I worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Southampton. I hold a PhD in Health Studies from the University of Nottingham, UK. My commitment to the field of disability and rehabilitation won me the prestigious and enviable University of Nottingham’s Vice-Chancellor’s scholarship, which funded my PhD study. I did both my master’s and bachelor’s degrees at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), a top University in Ghana and West Africa.

At the master’s level, I pursued an MSc in Disability, Rehabilitation and Development, where I majored in healthcare, assessment and rehabilitation of persons living with disabilities. My bachelor’s degree was in BSc Sports and Exercise Science with majors in exercise rehabilitation of long-term conditions and health promotion.
