About

Eleni is a Senior Lecturer in FinTech and Business Analytics at the International Business School, University of Derby.

She holds a PhD in Quantitative Finance from Imperial Business School, an MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Bayes Business School, an MSc in Information Engineering and a BEng in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from City St George’s, University of London.

Previously, she was a Lecturer in Business Analytics at the Royal Docks School of Business and Law, University of East London. Eleni has worked as a Scientific/Technical Project Officer at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Ispra, Italy, contributing to Horizon Europe projects relating to sustainable transport, as well as on LIFE+ projects at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). She has also worked as a consultant on energy infrastructure projects.

Her primary areas of research are shipping finance and economics, with a focus on sustainability.
