I’ve got several years of experience in all areas of video production and I now work with colleagues across the University on video and moving-image projects with a specific teaching and learning focus. Projects I take on range from those generated from within my wider Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) team, working with colleagues in central departments such as the Library or from within colleges.

I have a talent for developing a concept and taking it through to delivery, especially enjoying the script-writing, directing and editing aspects of my role. I love a challenge and ensure that each film I produce, whether simple or more complex, delivers the right message to the intended audience.

I’ve enjoyed completing an MA in Education during my time here at Derby, where I could more deeply explore the medium of video and moving image in the context of learning. This included research into effective pedagogies for embedding digital and media literacy into the Higher Education curriculum.

I also have a very keen interest in motion graphics and animation, which I have used in some really interesting projects over the past few years! See some examples of my work below:
