About

 I am a lecturer in digital marketing, having joined the university on a permanent basis in June 2016. Alongise my academic career, I work with local SME's to develop their digital capabilities and grasp of social media.

Striking a balance between the world of Higher Education and practice means that students are able to benefit from the latest developments in marketing.

I am the joint programme leader for the BSc (Hons) Marketing (Digital). This degree is practitioner focused, and is underpinned with the necessary academic rigour, meaning upon completion our students are able to 'stand out from the crowd'.

Teaching responsibilities

I am the programme leader for BSc (Hons) Marketing (Digital) and module leader for:

  • 4MK512 Introduction to Digital
  • 5MK510 Digital and Social Media 
  • 7MK504 Implementing Integrated Marketing Communication
  • CIM modules in Digital Strategy & Mastering Metrics

Additionally I am an Examiner for the Chartered Institute of Marketing's (CIM) Diploma in Professional Marketing Digital Strategy (Level 6) since July 2016.

Professional interests

I have worked with a range of SME's including an amateur sports club; a pest control company; an estate agent; and an independent financial advisor.

Research interests

 

My research interests are generally concerned with social media marketing, with a particular focus on how social media marketing impacts upon consumer behaviour decisions. I am currently in the writing up stage of my PhD, that explores how social media marketing impacts upon the student decision process and the student experience.
