About

Caroline Mills is the Senior Technician in the Department of Biomedical and Forensic Science. Provides technical and laboratory support for students, lecturers and researchers in the College of Science and Engineering.

Teaching responsibilities

Demonstrates techniques and instrumentation in Biomedical, Forensic and Chemistry laboratory practicals.

Membership of professional bodies

HEaTED (Higher Education and Technical Education Development)

Qualifications

Experience in industry

Previously worked as a Research Scientist for the UK's leading forensic science service provider (FSS), whereby researched, developed and implemented innovative DNA automation solutions to in-house and external forensic customers.

International experience

Whilst working for the FSS, provided international (U.S, Netherlands and Abu Dhabi) technical support for automated forensic DNA services, to allow systems to continue processing with minimum downtime.
