About

I would describe myself as someone who is genuinely driven by curiosity, passion and results, and that has shaped the path I have taken. My background spans computational and analytical chemistry, with hands-on experience across advanced instrumentation - HPLC, LC-MS, FTIR, ICP-MS, and NMR spectroscopy, which I built alongside strong technical skills in Python, data processing and visualization, statistical analysis, and more recently, deep learning and generative AI applications. I have always been someone who enjoys sitting at the intersection of the hands-on lab work and the computational side, because I believe that strongest research happens when both complement and inform each other.

As a university lecturer, I consistently translated that combination into measurable outcomes, delivering both research and teaching excellence. I would say that problem-solving and critical thinking are where I naturally gravitate, but just as important to me also is communication - being able to take something technically dense and make it land clearly for whoever I am talking to, whether that's a fellow researcher or someone outside the field entirely. Throughout my professional career, I have worked across cross-functional and multicultural teams and that has taught me a lot about collaborating well, staying adaptable, and genuinely valuing different perspectives on a shared problem. Right now, I am channelling all of that into my PhD at the University of Derby, where I'm developing new catalytic technologies for efficient, zero-carbon hydrogen production. I am excited about this research not only for the chemistry itself, but also because I believe it would make a meaningful impact on future energy solutions.
