About

I have been a qualified midwife since 2005 and have worked across all areas of maternity care until my transfer into education in 2018. I still try to work clinically as a midwife as I find enjoyment in both education and clinical midwifery.

Teaching responsibilities

I am a Senior Lecturer in Midwifery and am therefore responsible for teaching and assessing student midwives across all three years of the undergraduate midwifery programme.

Membership of professional bodies

Qualifications

Experience in industry

I have spent most of my clinical career as a labour ward midwife and as a shift coordinator for the last few years. I have spent three years as a community midwife with regular experience in other areas of maternity care.

Additional interests and activities

I enjoy singing and acting in my spare time and am a member of a local amateur dramatics group. Many family members were in the group and I joined aged four. Now my children have joined too so it's a family affair.
