I am a Senior Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education. I am currently Stage Two Leader of the BEd and the MEdu cohorts. I am an experienced University Link Tutor.

As a former primary school teacher both in the UK and Australia, I use my experiences to help to support and challenge students on their journey to QTS.

Teaching responsibilities

As part of my wider roles and responsibilities, I have led and lectured on a variety of modules across the BEd and MEdu programmes. I currently teach on a range of modules including Keeping Safe, Child Development, Diversity Matters and Alternative Setting Elective as well as leading the Creative Arts strand of the Subject Pathway. I also supervise a group of Independent Studies students on the BEd and MEdu programme.

Professional interests

I have a natural curiosity for exploring the significance of wider educational approaches and the influence of learning beyond the classroom on children and school communities.

Research interests

I am interested in student resilience and the links with self efficacy.

I maintain research interests in educational approaches and learning beyond the classroom.
