My journey with the University of Derby began in 2012 when I completed my masters degree at the University. I was later lucky enough to become a member of staff.

I am now a lecturer in Counselling and Psychotherapy, Principles and Practice as well as the course's Admissions Tutor. I am responsible for lecturing on a number of modules across the three years as well as tutoring and supervising students.

I am a qualified, BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)-accredited integrative counsellor with a number of years of experience in the counselling and psychotherapy field, working with adults, children and young people. I have worked for organisations, charities and the NHS.

My ongoing research interests, among others, are in counselling children and young people, branching out to bullying and the incorporation of families/systems in counselling children and young people.

I have spent intermittent periods of time working as a counsellor and psychotherapies in Cyprus both for the charitable and private sector.
