Course units

The course is made up of 3 units, each will require approximately 1 hour of study.

Unit content is guided by professionally recognised theory and evidence:

This first unit introduces the role of the mentor and the associated responsibilities. It encourages you to think about potential challenges you may face as a mentor and to consider ways in which you might mitigate these for the benefit of the mentoring relationship.

The second unit introduces tried and tested tools for successful mentoring relationships an helps to use these tools to plan your mentoring relationship with your mentee.

The third and final unit guides you through the mentoring process, applying what has been learned to date. The unit encourages reflection on learning in action.
