About this module

This module aims to enable you to make a positive contribution to these developments in your own area of practice and within the wider organisation, using your learning to influence at a local level.

It covers all the key elements of leadership and management with ongoing application of theory to contemporary practice. These range from broad topics such as the theoretical development of leadership and management to specific applications such as change, conflict and negotiation. These are explored in the context of the contemporary health and social care environment and the implications for service providers.

The module is delivered mainly through interactive lectures that include group work, some self-assessment activities and some guided e-learning.
